All members are welcome to attend any of our events, with or without a car. Please register early with organisers even for day events, so that accommodation, parking, catering arrangements and numbers can be finalised in advance of the event. If you are interested in organising an event, you will need a copy of the new Event Organisers Pack and related documents. The “Dawdle” is based in the Nidderdale area of outstanding natural beauty and takes some iconic sites including the impressive wind eroded Birmingham Rocks and the World Heritage site of Fountains Abby. The 60 mile run starts and finishes at the Wellington Inn which has parking for 5 motor-homes. There will be breakfasts available if pre booked, whilst coffee will be available to anyone prior to the event.

The Lakes Tour

The tour will be based at the Crooklands Hotel, near Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria LA7 7NW, which was originally a farm back in the 1700s, hence it is full of character, including a large modern extension. It isa lovely hotel and is privately owned; we have pre-booked all their rooms. Its just off Junction 36 on the M6, and is very handy for both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, a terrific area and incredible for touring, as we all know from the ‘The Bit of a Do’ events – including hills!!
The cost of the rooms per night is from £165 for a classic double/twin, to £183 for a deluxe double/twin, based on two persons sharing a room, with the single rate from £120 to £138 for a deluxe room. Rates include dinner, bed & breakfast. Parking for the towing vehicles and trailers has been arranged nearby, within half a mile the hotel, at a cost of £10 per unit. The hotel will require a non-refundable deposit of £50 per room, unless the room is re-let on cancellation.
